Aquarium Leak Causing Water Damage

The water loss that occurred at this home was a result of a cracked aquarium leaking on the coffee table. The water slowly seeped through the crack unnoticed for a few days and dripped onto the living room carpet.  When our customer noticed the moisture on the carpet floor, she was concerned about the possibility of mold growth that can damage the structure of her home.  Our technicians quickly responded to her call.  They ran some test and determined that the water damage was classified as Category 3.  This means that the water damage on her floor is grossly contaminated with pollutants including fungi and bacteria.  Therefore our technicians had to remove the carpet, carpet pad, and hardwood floor under the carpet.  Once the water had been extracted, they used moisture monitoring equipment to effectively measure and document the drying process.
